Entrepreneurship is an exciting career path because you’re in charge, right? When you’re a Christian are you really in charge of your business? Or do you let go and let God take full control? Do you include God in all your business plans and business meetings? If you answered NO to any of these questions keep reading to find out why you should. The benefit of being a Christian Entrepreneur is knowing that God is in control. When things go wrong, or you may be having a bad day we as Christians know that we depend on God to handle all our needs. Imagine, if you didn’t believe in God and didn’t have him to depend on think about how worrisome and stressful your lives would be.
1. You Aren’t Alone in the Process
Acknowledging and knowing that God is with you always is key. This is the first benefit because knowing that we have God on our side is the first step. Once we acknowledge and know that he is with us every step of the way then we know that we can turn to him. You can acknowledge God by simply just talking to him. Praying and communing with him. You must acknowledge his presence. For example, as a child imagine wanting your favorite toy, but we ignore our parents every day, and still expect us to get the toy. That is how it is when we as Christians or Christian entrepreneurs are when we want God to bless our business to thrive, but we didn’t take the time to acknowledge him throughout the process. It’s important that we know we are not
2. Trusting him
Once, we acknowledge that God is there we must trust him, without doubting him. The moment you hear doubt playing in your head remind yourself that that is the enemy. There is no place for him. Becoming an Entrepreneur is not easy, if it was everyone would be one. Because it’s not easy, the devil will try to attack you. He always attacks us with our minds first. He may cause you to feel overwhelmed, and anxious, and feed you doubt that your business won’t work. Therefore, this step is most important, BUT GOD. Therefore, you must put your trust in him. Once you recognize the negative energy is from the devil, turn to God. Seek him and pray to him, he is there to supply all our needs. Trusting in him is key to a successful business.
3. Keeping him at the center of your business
Once you acknowledge him and trust him, next you must remember to keep God in the middle. Keep him in the center of your business. Ask him questions, console him. Don’t make decisions on your own. When we step on and do things on our own self-serving, it may go okay for the moment but if it’s something that God wasn’t in agreeance with it won’t last very long. Listen to God and let him guide you, he will never steer you wrong. He is the pilot, and we are the co-pilot. We need to let him take lead so that he can steer us in the right direction. When have you have saw a co-pilot tell the pilot what to do, and what buttons to push? Have you ever seen a co-pilot sit on the pilot’s lap and try to take charge? Not, right? This is how it looks when we try to take over and not allow God to lead.
There are many more benefits to being a Christian business owner. These are the first three benefits that we can apply to our lives as Christian entrepreneurs. You can also apply this to our everyday lives in our walk as Christian.
